Job Description

Flagger Certification Class - Once a Month

In Bellingham LaborMax Office

Course Summary

Time Frame: This course is 6 hours of instruction plus the exam and breaks and lunch. (Class size & participation impact the length as well, so we recommend that you make sure to clear obligations like appts & arrange alternative accommodations for things like childcare until after 5pm to be safe - average finish times are roughly 4pm with exam.)

Registration: Is at 7:30am and class starts promptly at 8am. We don't start late and anyone that is late (without communication prior) and will be turned away.

Structure: Participation is required so you need to be alert and attentive to the material and instructor, and to participate in the class instruction. Those that don’t participate tend to not do well on the exam or in the field.

Successful Traffic Control Flagger Attributes: Hard working, reliable, professional conduct, communicative, and strong work ethic who works well in a team environment & alone.

What you can Expect: You will be joining established crews who are FT permanent members of our team. This means you are coming on as a Monday - Friday employee who receives assignments daily at the end of the day. If you do not receive an assignment, you are automatically put on the morning dispatch call list for morning flagging orders.

Our expectations: You are considered a part of a team that strives to build confidence, be seen by the clients & community as a professional, and conducts themselves in a manner that increases visibility, grows opportunities within our current accounts, and attracts new accounts and flaggers.

Requirements:

**NOTE: You must be an employee of LaborMax to take the course. We have Traffic Control work in Whatcom/Skagit/Island/Snohomish Counties.
