Utility Worker Qualifications • Basic mechanical knowledge of light to medium sized industrial equipment • Ability to work independently • Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions • Able to work at multiple locations throughout Denver • Basic Microsoft skills • Experience Requirement: One (1) year of experience performing unskilled labor work • Education/Experience Equivalency: None • License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment Responsibilities • It also tracks vehicle usage and maintenance costs, prioritizes vehicle replacements, procures new vehicles and heavy equipment, and contracts for fuel used by City and County of Denver vehicles • Fleet Management will provide internal and external training for specialized functions related to this position including training to obtain an A-B Operator permit for Underground Storage Tank inspections as well as fuel island maintenance and repair duties • Performs semi-skilled and light to heavy physical labor on a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair projects that involves physical exertion and the operation of light weight motorized equipment and hand and power tools • Operates light weight equipment powered by small engines for maintenance and minor construction projects including portable and trailer mounted pressure washers • Conduct daily and weekly Hazmat reporting materials that is required per regulations • Inspects vehicle for loose parts, damaged or worn tires, proper air pressure in tires, and other items affecting its safe operation and completes a pre/post trip inspection as defined by federal guidelines • Observes on-board instruments while operating equipment and takes routine corrective action if malfunctions are indicated • Maintain air compressor, dryer, Pressure washer, lube system, vehicle lifts and other support equi
