Job Description:

We are seeking a hardworking and customer-focused Lumber Yard Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a lumber yard, be skilled in operating a forklift, and have strong customer service abilities. This role involves handling and organizing lumber, assisting customers with their material needs, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

Load and unload lumber and building materials using a forklift and manual handling.

Assist customers in selecting and loading materials while providing excellent service.

Maintain an organized and clean lumber yard, ensuring materials are properly stored and accessible.

Operate forklifts and other equipment safely while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damage.

Restock and replenish inventory as needed.

Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, customer service, and operations.

Requirements:

Lumber Yard Experience: Must have prior experience working in a lumber yard, handling materials, and organizing inventory.

Forklift Experience: Must be proficient in operating a forklift (certification preferred but not required).

Customer Service Skills: Ability to assist and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Ability to lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs).

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
