Job Description

The Burlington LaborMax office has several openings for full time AND part time flaggers. We are proud of our Flagging crews and the work they do in the community keeping our drivers and pedestrians safe through road construction. It's one of the most important jobs out there! We certify, train, and pay the top wages and transportation rates in the market. As a flagger with us you will enjoy $100 bonus for every 80 hrs worked, flexible scheduling perfect for those with busy families, students, second jobs, loaned PPE and Gear, Paid Daily, Yearly wage raises and market rate transportation pay increases, and low-cost certification in our local Bellingham location. A flagger and TCS ensure a safe and productive control of traffic through road construction and line repair jobs. They are the frontline to keeping the crews, pedestrians, and drivers safe while trying their hardest to not impede anyone in the process. Traffic Control Flaggers follow WSDOT/MUTCD standards to set up traffic control devices on the road, Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), prevents and reports unsafe acts and conditions, controls traffic in a safe and efficient manner, Maintains a professional mannerism at all times while communicating with the drivers, crews, and their flagging partner(s), Works in ALL weather conditions with no issues, are the first ones on and last ones off the sites, Work with the crews to manage and set up their work site quickly and efficiently and be ready to make last minute changes as needed, and can stand in one place for the whole shift (sometimes up to 14 hours).

Requirements:

Positive attitudes, Strong work ethic, Attention to attendance and reliability, Leadership qualities that make you easy AND SAFE to work with, have reliable transportation, strong communication skills, and presents themselves as a professional face of the company. Must have a valid Flaggers Certification to flag, but if you don’t have one we offer a low-cost 6hr certification, or 4 hr recertification, class in our local Bellingham Office. We also provide opportunities for on-the-job training with an experienced flagger.
